Student-athletes already have coaches for their game. What's often missing is dedicated support for the classroom and the character — the parts that carry them past graduation.
Homework labs, tutoring, and monthly academic check-ins keep grades and goals in view all season long.
Leadership Circles and youth-led service projects give students real responsibility, not just a lecture about it.
Hybrid virtual and in-person options, free or low-cost tools, and flexible weekly and biweekly rhythms.
LANE ONE
Support the student in student-athlete through academic accountability, tutoring, and college readiness.
LANE TWO
Develop confident, socially aware youth leaders who lead in their schools and communities.
CURRICULUM AT A GLANCE

OUR APPROACH
Four principles guide every session, from a Tuesday Homework Lab to a Leadership Circle.
Tutoring pods of 4–6 students and Leadership Circles of 6–10 keep every session personal, not lecture-sized.
Every student gets a one-page Academic Success Plan built around their own GPA goals, not a one-size-fits-all curriculum.
Monthly academic check-ins and a real academic profile mean every student is tracked, not just enrolled.
Leadership is taught by doing it — students take on real roles as ambassadors, hosts, and peer mentors.
HOW IT WORKS
RI5E runs on a simple rhythm — hybrid, flexible, and built to start now rather than waiting on a finished building.
Share grades, schedule, and goals so we can build an academic profile or place a student into a Leadership Circle.
Homework Lab, tutoring, and leadership sessions run on a predictable weekly or biweekly schedule, virtual or in person.
Every 60 days, students put leadership into practice through a real, youth-led service project.
DIGITAL EQUITY
Every student builds digital skills alongside academic and leadership skills — not as an afterthought, but as part of how each program runs.
THE FIRST 90 DAYS
RI5E's quick-start calendar gets students into real programming within two weeks, documented from day one.

OUR FOUNDATION
To support the student in student-athlete — building academic accountability, college readiness, and confident, socially aware leadership, together.
Every student is documented, tracked, and known — not just enrolled. Attendance, progress, and milestones are recorded from the very first session.
Hybrid by design, accessible by design: free or low-cost tools, existing community relationships, and a lean volunteer model that starts now instead of waiting for a finished building.
FAQ
Pop-Up Tutoring and the Homework Lab flex to whatever a student needs help with — the core academic subjects are identified for each student during intake, rather than being fixed to one subject list.
Every student gets an Individual Academic Goal Plan and is checked in on monthly through Academic Monitoring, so progress is documented, not just assumed.
RI5E works with middle and high school student-athletes across Manatee and Sarasota counties.
RI5E is built to be free or low-cost, using free tools and existing community spaces. Reach out through the Contact form below and a program lead can walk through specifics for your student.
Yes — select "Both" under "Interested in" on the Contact form, and a program lead will help place your student into both lanes.
RI5E runs on a lean, direct staffing model: a Program Lead, a rotating tutor, a Leadership Facilitator, and volunteers — not a large, anonymous staff.
Visit the Get Involved section above, or reach out directly through the Contact form — volunteer slots are weekly or biweekly, no long-term contract required.

RI5E ("RI5E," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website to share information about our academic and leadership programs for student-athletes in Manatee and Sarasota counties, Florida, and to connect with students, parents, volunteers, and partners.
We collect information only when you choose to provide it, through the Contact form on this site — your name, email address, your role (parent/guardian, student, volunteer, or partner), which program lane you're interested in, and your message.
We do not currently use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers on this site. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated to describe what is added and why.
We use the information you submit only to respond to your inquiry or process an enrollment or volunteer request. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
RI5E's programs serve student-athletes, and we recognize that some students who interact with this site may be under 13 years old. We ask that any form submission on behalf of a student under 13 be made by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent. If we learn that a child under 13 has submitted information without parental consent, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has submitted information without consent can contact us using the details below to request its removal.
Submissions through the Contact form are processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service, which delivers the message to a staff email address. The website itself does not store submissions in a database. Formspree's own privacy practices and data-handling terms apply to the brief period a submission passes through their system; you can review those at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy. As RI5E adds tools such as a volunteer/student database, this section will be updated to reflect what is stored, where, and for how long.
This site uses two third-party services: Google Fonts, which may receive standard technical information (such as browser type and IP address) required to deliver font files, and Formspree, which processes Contact form submissions on our behalf as described above.
You can ask to see, correct, or delete any information you've submitted to us, or unsubscribe from program update emails at any time, by contacting us using the information below.
We may update this Privacy Policy as our programs and tools change. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
